SketchBomb: Wondercon Edition!

SketchBomb

Attention Residents of San Francisco and those traveling from far-off lands!

It's already that time again... A new CON, a new SketchBomb!

I took a break from having SketchBombs while I was in Orlando (sorry those who wanted to attend) because it would have been three SketchBomb weekends in a row and I just can't take it, hehe. Not only is it a new SketchBomb... but it's the Wondercon SketchBomb! Are you attending Wondercon? Then stop on by!

This Wondercon Edition SketchBomb will be held on Friday, April 1st. Like always it will be at the Grove at 3rd and Mission in San Francisco at 8 PM . SketchBomb is an open-invitation to any artist of any skill-level to come out and have a good time and sketch. Post any questions you have in this journal so we can get it all out in the open.

Ryan and I will be there as usual as well as the usual familiar faces from SketchBomb.

How it works: We usually alternate between timed themes and free sketching and we always have Show and Yell so people can check out everyone's work. This one may be a little crazy due to numbers so I don't know yet if we will stick to this plan. I'd like to but sometimes SketchBomb becomes a bit unwieldy, hehe.

The Grove has been super-awesome to us. I want SketchBomb to continue to bring them business and great vibes, too. They have good food, alcohol (but you don't have to be 21 to attend), and a bunch of other stuff so it would be great if we all got a few drinks or some food or whatever to thank them for the roof (and so we don't over-stay our welcome).

I am going to have copies of my Art Book "FaceBomb: The Art of Mike Henry" for sale! If you want to nab up a copy there let me know so I bring enough. They are $25 a piece, 76 pages, Hardcover, Full color, and I'll do a sketch in each one!

It'll be a good time!

See ya there!

SketchBomb Tomorrow! 1 Year Anniversary!

Attention People of Earth!

Well, specifically San Francisco/Bay Area: It's that time again... A new month, a new SketchBomb!

Not only is it a new SketchBomb... but it's the 1 Year Anniversary of SketchBomb! In the last year we have seen the attendance go from 6 or 7 like-minded individuals to a whopping 30 people (approximately) on a regular basis! Plus we've expanded from just SketchBomb: San Francisco to also having SketchBomb: Sacramento, SketchBomb: North Carolina, and SketchBomb: Seattle What?! I KNOW! It's been a big year and we are going to celebrate it the only way we know how... by drawing!

This Month's SketchBomb will be held on Saturday, March 19th. Like always it will be at the Grove at 3rd and Mission in San Francisco at 8 PM. SketchBomb is an open-invitation to any artist of any skill-level to come out and have a good time and sketch. Post any questions you have in this journal so we can get it all out in the open.
